Artpost Gallery is hosting “Portraits: Beautiful Women,” a collection of paintings by Dawn R. Sult (Williams).  Sult describes her exhibition as “a series of abstract acrylic ‘portraits’ on canvas.” Each piece is the artist’s interpretation of a particular individual’s unique essence, rather than their physical likeness. This concept has resulted in an interesting array of styles and techniques, as diverse as the individual subjects.

Regarding this body of work Sult states, “This is how I see these ladies – not just their physical appearance, but their hearts, minds, strength, and inner beauty as well.” She invites the public to find characteristics of themselves within the works.

More of Dawn’s work can be seen on her website: www.sultart.com.
